Winwood is an outstanding pink papered Hanoverian with top class breeding from a sire line of world importance, including the highly sought after Rubenstein, and the great Weltmeyer, two of the most successful international stallions who are recognised within the breed as sires who can be relied upon for superior heritability.

His dam, Raffina, is one of the founder breeding mares at Fosshey Hanoverian Stud, one of the most prestigious hanoverian breeders in the country.

Winwood gained a First Premium grade at the BEF Futurity gradings at the Heart of England in 2008 scoring 8.5 for confirmation, 9 for paces and 8.75 for athleticism. The judges comments on his paces were that he had '3 good paces and good rhythm' and that he 'moved easily, fluid and supple'. 

He has a wonderful genuine temperament and rideability. He is responsive to the aids, making quick progression through his training, and is also happy hacking out. In a recent training session with a top British Dressage coach, he was highly commended for his ‘great attitude and trainability’, also commenting; ‘given the opportunity I would be taking him home!’
