Stallions for 2007 Foals

Belisma is in foal to Rousseau - due May 2007 - We are trying again with this matching...

        Bay

        Born 1998

        173 cm

A KWPN stallion Rousseau, undoubtedly the currently most popular young Dutch dressage stallion. Rousseau's career has been marked by one highlight after the other. This began with his approval, after which he was the most highly priced auction stallion and was purchased by the American Hilltop Farm in Maryland . During the same year, he gained the highest score at his stallion performance test in Ermelo.
The following year, he won the Pavo Cup at the Dutch Federal Championship, where he attained previously unheard of scores, being awarded 10.0 points by both of his test riders.
In 2003 he first won the KWPN Stallion Championship, an obligatory event for every stallion approved in the Netherlands , before making his international debut in Verden, at the World Championship of Young Dressage Horses, where he completed the exciting finals as runner-up, gaining the title of “world vice-champion”. His performance did not remain unnoticed by the German breeding associations, which afforded him full breeding recognition following the World Championship.
Rousseau is an uncommonly large-framed, true to type stallion with a handsome face. His sire Ferro, an Olympic silver medallist, world champion and European champion, must undoubtedly be considered as one of the most successful dressage stallions of competition sport of all times. Rousseau's dam Zsuzsu, initially had Grand-Prix successes before going into breeding.

Grown to a top level in the competition ring, Wie Weltmeyer had a text book career, making new milestones with every footfall. After his victory in the 1993 Stallion Performance Test in Medingen, Wie Weltmeyer commenced a versatile sport career. He won and was often highly placed in show jumping up to L-level and in dressage tests to M-level. At the Bundeschampionate in 1996 he won the qualifier for the finals with a dream score of 9.3 and won the bronze medal in the finals for 6-year old dressage horses. In 1998 at age 8, Wie Weltmeyer was six-time winner in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special. In 1999 he made his big international break through. Under Emma Hindle he was short listed for the British Dressage team for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and in 2003, the combination landed a place at the top of the international dressage world. As best British dressage pair, they won team bronze at the 2003 European Dressage Championships in Hickstead (GBR) and placed eight individually, taking the lead on the British Dressage Riders’ Ranking. In 2004 they were again member of the British team at the Olympic Games in Athens (GRE), but unfortunately injured themselves at the Games.

Not only as a competition horse, but also as a breeding stallion Wie Weltmeyer has made headlines. On several occasions his offspring sold for top prices at the Verden Elite Auctions. In 1998 Weltdieb became his first licensed son. His first crops of foals are currently achieving ribbons and trophies in the dressage horse tests and are successful at the Bundeschampionate.

Fürstenreich is the ultimate text book example of type. He is blessed with all attributes that will make him a „King of the Ring“: correct conformation, three exceptional basic gaits, willingness to work and very easy to ride.

His sire Florestan I, the most wanted foundation stallion for the NRW Breed, produced countless licensed sons, numerous State Premium Mares and several Bundeschampionate participants. His ride able offspring sell like hot cakes at NRW- Riding Horse Auctions in Münster-Handorf. They are all proof of Florestan’s exceptional heritability. Dam sire Matador, who is the exemplary model of post-war Trakehner breeding, was the DLG-Champion in Munich. Westfalian performance sires Apart and Damhirsch are in the third and fourth generation of Fürstenreich’s pedigree. The Warendorf state stallion Dante also descends from this dam line of Jutta (by Julmond/T).

Fürstenreich completed his 30-day test in 2001 with outstanding results. He was a winner of numerous Riding Horse tests and Dressage Horse tests from L to M-level. In 2003 and 2004 he qualified for the Bundeschampionate with high notes. Furthermore, he was a finalist at the 2004 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Meanwhile, he has become a highly successful international Prix St Georges horse.

St Moritz was a Premiium Stallion at his Hanoverian Licensing at Verden in 2005.
He is a son of World Champion and Bundeschampionat Champion stallion, Sandro Hit.
His dam, Verb.Pr. Dondola, is a daughter of the Derby winner, De Niro, who ranks among Germany's top sires on the basis of his off-spring and own performance record.
A full sister to St Moritz, Syriana, was sold at the Verden Elite foal auction in August 2006 for 43,000 Euros and at the same auction, a colt foal, Walentino, by Weltmeyer out of another full sister to St Mortiz, St Pr Sweet Dreams, sold for 65,000 Euros. These 2 foals were the 2 top priced foals of the day.
His granddam, the Elite and Brillantring mare, Bel Amie, is by the Holstein stallion, Larinero.

In the next generation you find Bandera by Argentinus and the Thoroughbred, Vierzehnender.
She is a half-sister of the Olympic silver medal winner, Dondolo, who has been successful with both Gonnelien Rothenberger and Rudolf Zeilinger. His high performance pedigree and good looks make St. Moritz one of today's most promising young stallions.

San Remo is just like out of a painting, with the movement sequence of a dancer, fascinating bloodlines – and all in the coveted black color. A clear affinity for dressage based on pedigree and performance record places him at the center of attention. An astounding score of 151.03 with ten grades between 9.0 and 10.0 stand in his report card – a 9.0 for trot, 10.0 for canter, 9.5 for walk and 9.5 for rideability. These values reflect the scope and uniformity of this young stallion's extraordinary quality.

His sire, Sandro Hit, is Bundeschampion and World Champion and in the process of starting a new stallion dynasty in breeding and sport. Exceptional horses such as the World and Bundeschampion, Poetin, are witness to his quality as a sire. San Remo's dam's sire, Donnerhall, is deemed a stallion of the century. The complete pedigree forms a line that has produced highlights in sport that only a few have achieved in Germany.

Current Grand Prix stars such as Lesotho under Ellen Schulten-Baumer or the gold winning mare in Athens, Suerte, under Hubertus Schmidt are examples. San Remo has that special aura of a champion and an exceedingly gentle, people-oriented character.
