Fosshey Stables is situated in beautiful Cheshire countryside, 5 miles off the M6 or M56, between Knutsford and Warrington. We provide a high class full livery service and breed quality warmblood horses from the very best German/ Dutch dressage blood lines. All have excellent temperaments and have the potential to go on to compete at the very highest levels. The foundation stock for the Stud have been carefully chosen and all producing mares are all graded with their Breed Society, either in Germany or here in the UK. Proprietors:Ian and Sandra Tinker, Cathryn, Rex and John Dutton Sandra is an experienced horsewoman,
having ridden since the age of 4 and is a fully qualified BHSAI (British Horse Society
Assistant Instructor). She has also passed Stage 1 of a Horse Whispering course (Monty
Roberts School) and intends to take Stage 2 in 2008, allowing her the ability to teach
these methods and to take on problem horses to assist in their rehabilitation. Sandra has a number of her own horses, including the majority of the breeding mares and youngstock, breeding and producing high quality dressage foals and youngsters. A carefully selected foundation stock has been put together to give the Fosshey Stud a top end offering for the dressage/showing market. Whilst working full time in Manchester, Sandra still finds the time to compete locally on her own horses and to teach and actively get involved with the clients and their horses on the yard. Cathryn has a great interest in horses, owning three of her own, including a breeding mare, and equally gets involved in the running of the livery yard. She was heavily involved with Sandra in the setting up and building of the current business at Fosshey, where they are both very capable of mucking in with all of the duties expected in the day to day running of the yard. Ian and John manage between them all our land and yard management. We do all our own harrowing, rolling, fertilising, haymaking, fence renewal, ongoing repairs, ensuring that we are maintaining as high as standard as possible.
